We have been experimenting with Kite Flying here. Believe me, there is PLENTY of wind - almost too much. And it's very erratic. We get crazy gusts and then nothing, which makes for a lot of kite accidents. But we still had fun. Keira thought it was fun to just run around with it!

Mish Mash
First I fell off the coupon wagon and now I have fallen off the blogging wagon! My goodness what is wrong with me? Nothing interesting to post about I guess. We had a pretty low key last week (ultrasound aside obviously) - Wade was gone all week and we had lots of fun with friends and playdates and parkdates and storytime-dates! But we are glad to have daddy back! We grilled out a bunch this weekend though the weather wasn't as great as it was supposed to be. It was supposed to be super nice as of the forecast on thursday but then when I checked on friday it was severe weather all weekend. Though we really didn't get any severe weather (fingers crossed for the rest of the day) some areas around us did with a tornado touching down about 40 minutes from here.
I made this yummy dessert ( http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/recipes/black-forest-mousse-dessert-90590.aspx)
this weekend and I seriously can't keep a spoon out of the bowl! How is that for something interesting to post?!?!
I've come in 2nd in this fantasy golf league that I am in for about the bizillionth week in a row. For those who know me well, you'll know that my competive side can hardly take it and I am likely to explode soon. And as I am sure you are wondering, No, I don't know a single thing about golf other than the higher the negative the better and always pick Tiger Woods - some old friends play in it and invited me to join - but part of the excitement of winning (or almost winning) is that for the most part I know nothing and they are all golf addicts!
I'll try to have a more interesting week this week so I'll have more to blog about!

Sometimes you've got to have Faith!

I had worked myself into a tizzy about this appointment today last week when I finally decided to stop stressing and decided that it was out of my hands and that I had to have Faith that everything was going to be just fine today. And it was! Baby was kicking and squirming and the heart rate was great at 163 ... old wives tale says Girl ... The bleed or non-fusion or whatever it is/was has gotten very very small, so that is great news. This was also the NT scan - the NT measurement was 1.4 which is a great measurment - they like to see anything below 3.5. Got some pics of the baby. Our next appointment will be at 17 or 18 weeks for a level 2 ultrasound at the Peri's office again - that is when we will be able to see kidneys functioning properly. So basically one more hurdle, for now, all is well! This pic below the hand or foot - I can't remember - I think the foot?? Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers - keep them coming!

We made butterflies yesterday - another great gift from my secret pal! Keira loves to paint!
I've got my own butterflies going on ... updates tomorrow.
Free Cone Day
We had a good time at Free Cone Day today - Who doesn't love free ice cream??? The place was crazy busy, but they were very efficient - here are some of the great pics!

Hmm, this is good!

Mom's attempt to keep me clean ... didn't work!

I can't believe I am soo messy!

Ice Cream makes me Happy!

I've fallen off the wagon, gardening, and other misc.

So I am ready to admit that I have fallen off the wagon -- GASP -- I know, can you believe, the self titled coupon queen and not done anything with coupons in about 2 weeks. Yikes! With the take it easy routine, I haven't been doing my CVS/WAGS stuff because getting Keira in and out of the vehicle is tough, so I have just skipped it. But today I am determined to get my coupons under control!!! Sadly, it may take a few hours, but all I've got is time since Wade is gone all week!
On to gardening ... most of the work thus far has been in the planning stages as everything I have read says you really shouldn't plant outside here until the middle of May. I have all my stuff planned out on little graphing sheets and have decided everything that we are going to plant - Lettuce, Tomatoes, Green Peppers, Carrots, Peas, Onions, and Cucumbers. Hopefully with all that, something will come up! We have started cucumbers and peas in the house - pics are below. Keira has been totally loving it so far. She loved planting the seeds and she was so excited to see something coming up. She wants to water every day! I think this coming weekend we will plant the lettuce and carrots outside as they are supposed to be more hardy and able to withstand cold weather should we get any.

Hmm, what else? Wade left this afternoon for Mexico for the week. It was quite an ordeal for Keira. She saw the suitcase and wanted to know where her and Mommy's suitcase was. When I told her only daddy was going, the waterworks began. Took about an hour for her to be settled down. And I have been asked no less than 10 times, "is daddy home yet?" How do you explain how long a week is to a 3 year old? So sad. On a positive note, the weather forecast fr the next week is FABULOUS! 66 for a couple of days - mid 70's for a couple of days and actually getting into the 80's this week! Hooray for warm weather and playing outside.
I'm sure there will be more updates this week, so stay tuned!
